62-year-old man lying motionless on floor in Cuppage Plaza pronounced dead by paramedic

A 62-year-old man was found dead in the atrium of Cuppage Plaza on Saturday (Feb 25).

A video posted by Singapore Incidents shows police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedics surrounding the man lying on the floor in the centre of the mall.

A photo posted on Facebook shows a police tent placed over the body.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to a case of unnatural death at 5 Koek Road at 6.30pm.

"A 62-year-old man was found lying motionless and was pronounced dead at scene by an SCDF paramedic," said police.

Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play.

Police investigations are ongoing.
