6 women arrested for allegedly providing sex services at massage establishments

Six women, aged between 28 and 39, have been arrested for allegedly providing or advertising sexual services at massage establishments.

The police said in a statement that they conducted enforcement operations on three massage establishments located at Kim Keat Lane, Turf Club Road and Sophia Road on Oct 7.

The women were arrested for offences under the Women's Charter following the operations.

One of the three outlets was also allegedly found to be carrying on a business of providing massage services in an establishment for massage without a valid licence license, in contravention of the Massage Establishments Act.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Individuals found guilty of carrying on the business of providing massage services in an establishment for massage without a valid licence shall be fined up to $10,000, face up to two years' jail, or both.

For repeat offenders, the offence carries a fine of up to $20,000, up to five years' jail, or both.

The police said they will continue to take tough enforcement action against criminal activities.

Those found engaging in illicit activities will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
