58-year-old man drowns in Rochor Canal

The body of a 58-year-old man was found in Rochor Canal, near the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (IC) Building, on Tuesday night (Dec 4).
Stomper Cynthia contributed several photos of the scene and said she saw a death tent.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it responded to the incident at the canal, behind 10 Kallang Road, at 8.26pm.
Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (DART) divers retrieved the man's body from the canal.
The man was declared dead at the scene by SCDF paramedics.
The police told Stomp that they were alerted to the drowning case at about 8.25pm and are investigating the unnatural death.
