A man was taken to hospital and subsequently arrested for drink-driving after an accident along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on Sunday morning (Apr 7).

Stomper Ysgraciel was passing by on a bus at around 9.05am when she noticed police officers and a damaged silver car at the scene.

She said: "The car was already damaged and facing the opposite direction in the lane."

The police told Stomp in response to queries that they were alerted to the accident on the BKE, towards the Woodlands slip road and into Dairy Farm Road, at 7.41am.

It is unclear what the car had hit.

The 57-year-old car driver was conscious when taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and subsequently arrested for drink-driving.

Stomp understands that he had initially declined to be conveyed to hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
