A 54-year-old pedestrian died in an accident with a van at the junction of Ho Ching Road and Corporation Drive on Thursday afternoon (Aug 15).

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 3.24pm.

The female pedestrian was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

The van driver, a 33-year-old man, was arrested for causing death by a negligent act.

A Stomper was on board a bus when he noticed the accident scene.

In a photo that he sent to Stomp, a death tent can be seen behind the van.

Police investigations are ongoing.
