5 taken to hospital after lorry overturns in accident with car at Bedok Reservoir Road

Five men were taken to hospital after a lorry overturned in an accident with a car along Bedok Reservoir Road towards Tampines Avenue 1 on Thursday morning (Oct 17).

Stomper Alex alerted Stomp to the incident and took photos of the scene near Damai Secondary School.

In the photos, the lorry is seen lying on its side as paramedics attend to the victims by the side of the road.

Alex told Stomp he believes the lorry was transporting workers.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 8.01am.

Five male passengers, aged between 20 to 31, were taken conscious to Changi General Hospital, a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
