5 injured after private plane makes emergency landing near Bangkok due to engine failure

Five people were injured, with three of them in critical condition, after a private plane made a sudden emergency landing in the Nakhon Pathom province in Thailand.

The aircraft was a rented Pilatus PC 12 model which started its flight from Kolkata, India, and was scheduled to land at Don Mueang Airport last Sunday (Mar 5) night.

Unfortunately, an engine failure forced the pilot to try and attempt an emergency landing at the Kamphaeng Saen Airport instead.

According to Coconuts Bangkok, the plane disappeared from the radar at 7.16pm, but was discovered near the Kamphaeng Saen Airport at around 9.20pm.

All five casualties on board were sent to Chantarubeksa Hospital.

The site where the plane was discovered has been cordoned off and the plane itself is being inspected for any indication of foul play.
