40-year-old man arrested for allegedly molesting woman on bus along Orchard Road

A 40-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday (June 11) for allegedly molesting a woman on a public bus that was travelling along Orchard Road.

The police received a report about the incident on May 26.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTVs, the police established the man's identity and arrested him.

The suspect will be charged in court on Wednesday (June 12) with outrage of modesty.

If convicted, he may face a jail term of up to five years and/or a fine and/or caning.
