4 women who advertised sexual services online and operated from hotels arrested

Four women were arrested in an anti-vice operation that was conducted along Moonstone Lane, Race Course Road and Middle Road on Dec 27.

The women, aged between 22 and 29, were nabbed for offences under the Women’s Charter.

According to preliminary investigations, the women advertised their sexual services online and operated from hotels and apartments.

Investigations are ongoing.

Under the Women’s Charter, any person who knowingly lives wholly or in part on the earnings of the prostitution of another person can be jailed for up to five years and fined up to $10,000.

The police will spare no effort to clamp down and take tough enforcement action against anyone involved in vice activities, they said in a statement.

Those found engaging in such activities will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
