4 teens arrested for allegedly spraying graffiti at rooftop garden in Jurong West

Four teenagers, aged between 13 and 14, have been arrested by the police for their suspected involvement in a case of vandalism.

On Monday (July 8) at about 4.45pm, the police were alerted to a case of vandalism at a rooftop garden of Block 183 Boon Lay Avenue multi-storey carpark where graffiti was sprayed on a wall. 

Through ground enquiries and images from police cameras, officers from the Jurong Police Division identified the four youths and arrested them on Monday and Tuesday (July 9). 

Police investigations are ongoing. 

Any person who commits any act of vandalism or attempts/causes any such act could face a fine up to $2,000 or a jail term up to three years.

Repeat offenders could also be punished with caning of three to eight strokes.
