4 self-evacuate after fire breaks out in restaurant kitchen at Telok Ayer Street

A fire broke out in the kitchen of a restaurant at 204 Telok Ayer Street on Sunday night (May 16).

Stomper Bryan, who shared photos showing firefighters at the scene, said he noticed smoke from the restaurant.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it was alerted to the fire, which involved contents of a kitchen, at 9.35pm.

The fire was extinguished by the SCDF using one water jet.

About four people self-evacuated prior to the SCDF's arrival.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
