Four cars were involved in an accident along Tampines Expressway (TPE) towards Seletar Expressway (SLE) last Saturday (Aug 4) at about 1.30am.

Stomp understands that the accident involved an Alfa Romeo, a Volkswagen, a Hyundai, and a white car which fled the scene after hitting the rear of the Alfa Romeo.

The Alfa Romeo then lost control and veered to the left, skidding to the central divider and side-swiping the Volkswagen.

The Volkswagen then collided into a road divider.

The Hyundai subsequently hit the Volkwagen on its right rear, despite swerving in an attempt to avoid hitting it.

Stomper Hakim, who resides on the fourth storey of Block 188B Rivervale Drive, was at home when he heard the impact of the accident.

He said: "There was a loud bang and the sound of tyres skidding.

"I did not see what happened."

In response to a Stomp query, a police spokesman said that it was alerted to the accident at 1.19am.

"No injuries were reported and police investigations are ongoing."
