4 arrested, over $78,000 worth of drugs seized in CNB operation

Three men and one woman were arrested for suspected drug offences in a Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) operation on June 25, during which over S$78,000 worth of drugs were seized.

All four suspects are Singaporeans.

In a news release, CNB said that it mounted the night operation and conducted an observation on two suspected drug traffickers in the vicinity of Circuit Road.

Two men, aged 38 and 44, were arrested by CNB officers when their van came to a stop at the junction of the Pan-Island Expressway exit towards Paya Lebar Road.

About 938g of heroin was recovered from the vehicle.

A follow-up raid at the Circuit Road hideout of the 38-year-old man led to the recovery of about 48g of heroin, 90g of ‘Ice’ and a bottle containing methadone.

Two more suspected drug offenders, a 36-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, were arrested in the unit.

In the wee hours of June 26, a further follow-up raid was conducted at the second hideout of the 38-year-old man, in the Balam Road area.

About 5g of heroin and a small amount of 'Ice' were found in the unit.

Investigations into the drug activities of all the suspects are ongoing.
