38 evacuated after fire breaks out at Bendemeer block during wee hours

Thirty-eight people were evacuated after a fire broke out at Block 43 Bendemeer Road during the wee hours of Saturday (Feb 23).

A Stomper, who is a resident at the block, filmed several photos of the blaze and shared them with Stomp.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to the fire at around 3.20am.

The fire was extinguished by the SCDF using one water jet.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
