36-year-old man sent to hospital after skidding motorcycle along AYE

A 36-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital after an accident along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) yesterday afternoon (April 19) at around 3.20pm.

Stomper Mark, who contributed photos of the accident, said the motorcyclist "just skidded and fell".

Mark told Stomp: "Passing motorists helped and off-duty police officers who were passing by also stopped to render assistance."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident, which occurred towards the Central Expressway (CTE) and before the Clementi Road exit, at 3.21pm.

The victim was conscious when taken to the National University Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
