33-year-old SAF regular dies in non-training related incident at Kranji Camp II, no foul play suspected

A 33-year-old Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) male regular was found motionless at a stairway landing of a building in Kranji Camp II on Feb 14 at about 5.10pm.

He was pronounced dead on site at 5.30pm by an SAF medical officer.

The Ministry of Defence (Mindef) posted a statement regarding the death on their Facebook page on Thursday night.

Mindef said the death is non-training related.

"Based on the preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play," it said.

Mindef and SAF are assisting the family in their time of grief, it added.

The police have classified the case as unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.
