31-year-old man arrested for allegedly molesting 41-year-old woman in Chinese Garden

The police arrested a 31-year-old man on Friday (July 19) for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty involving a 41-year-old woman. 

The police were alerted to the incident in Chinese Garden on Wednesday (July 17) at about 1.45pm.

Through investigations and closed-circuit television footages, officers from Clementi Police Division identified the man and arrested him.

The man was charged in court on Saturday (July 20).

If convicted, he will face a jail term of up to two years and/or fine and/or caning.
