3 women arrested for allegedly carrying out vice activities at Kampong Bahru Road hotel

Three women, aged between 25 and 28, were arrested during a vice-related enforcement operation on Wednesday (Dec 26).

The suspects, who were nabbed for offences under the Women’s Charter, are believed to have advertised their sexual services online and carried out the vice activities at a hotel located along Kampong Bahru Road.

Investigations are ongoing, said the police in a statement on Thursday (Dec 27).

The police added: "Landlords and hotel owners are advised to ensure that tenants do not carry out vice activities in their premises."

Unlicensed brothel operators can be given a maximum fine of $10,000 and/or up to five years in jail.

Any person who knowingly lives wholly or in part on the earnings of the prostitution of another person can be jailed up to five years and fined up to $10,000.
