A chain collision involving four cars occurred along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) towards Changi Airport at around noon on Saturday (Sep 1).

Stomp understands that the first car of the collision had stopped because of a congestion ahead, followed by a second car who managed to slow down and stop in time to avoid hitting the first car.

However, the second car surged forward and collided with the first car when it was hit in the rear by a third car which could not stop in time.

A fourth car then collided with the third car as it could not stop in time as well.

Stomper Wongu had alerted Stomp to a post shared by Lihua Wong on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page showing the aftermath of the accident.
