Three men, aged between 35 and 41, were arrested for their suspected involvement in a case of robbery with hurt reported along Hastings Road.
The police received a report that a man had been assaulted and robbed of his belongings at about 1am on Jun 26.
Preliminary investigations revealed that three men had allegedly assaulted the victim and took his gold chain and mobile phone.
Through ground enquiries, officers from Central Police Division established the identities of the three men and arrested them along Ang Mo Kio Street 61 on the same day at about 5am.
The three men will be charged in the court on Jun 27 with robbery with hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.
If convicted, the suspects face a jail term of at least five years and not exceeding 20 years, and shall also be punished with caning with not less than 12 strokes.
