A simple act of kindness can go a long way.

Three women rushed to assist a crying elderly man in a wheelchair in Bedok on Sunday afternoon (Oct 2).

Sharing a video of the incident, a Stomper said that it happened outside a FairPrice supermarket at 2pm.

"The crying old man needed help, yet I could see only three good citizens running to help him. Very appreciated!"

In the video, the women can be seen supporting the man and holding his hands as he carefully sat down on his wheelchair.

"The three ladies slowly adjusted his sitting position for his comfort. They handled him very tenderly and with care. I could see the old man was very happy at last," recounted the Stomper.

"Not everybody has a kind heart like this in Singapore. I was very pleased to see the good citizens.

"At first, I thought Singapore had changed into a worse society, but it's not true. There are still some good-hearted people around, especially some Singaporeans who still care for the elderly in general."
