27-year-old man arrested for allegedly molesting woman at Tampines Avenue 2

A 27-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty that occurred at Tampines Avenue 2.

The victim informed the police on June 26 that she had been molested by an unknown man.

Officers from Bedok Police Division established the man's identity through ground enquiries and arrested him along Tampines Avenue 2 on the same day.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in a similar incident reported on 8 May 2018, said the police in a statement.

The man will be charged in court with outrage of modesty on Wednesday (June 28).

If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to two years and/or caning.
