26-year-old motorcyclist taken to hospital after skidding along Cantonment Road

A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital after an accident involving his motorcycle along Cantonment Road on Thursday afternoon (Sep 13).

Stomper Kohji had been passing by on a bus at around 1pm when he saw paramedics attending to the victim, who was lying on a stretcher on the road.

Kohji said: "They were putting bandages on him."

A video filmed by the Stomper also shows a man holding an umbrella to shelter the victim from the sun.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said that they were alerted to the accident, which took place in the direction of Keppel Road, at 12.22pm.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force told Stomp that it was alerted to the incident at 1G Cantonment Road at 12.23pm.

The motorcyclist was conscious when taken to Singapore General Hospital.

Stomp understands that he had self-skidded.

Police investigations are ongoing.
