26-year-old arrested for allegedly sexually harassing man's daughter

A 26-year-old man was arrested on Jun 1 for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty in Toa Payoh.

The police said in a statement that they received a report on May 31 at about 12.30am from a man who said that his daughter had been sexually harassed by an unknown man along LorongĀ 3 Toa Payoh.

After conducting ground enquiries, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him the next day.

If convicted of outrage of modesty, the man may be punished with up to two years' jail, or fined, or caned, or any combination of the three.
