A fire that broke out in a Bedok North Housing Board (HDB) flat on Monday (July 15) saw 25 people evacuated from their flats at about 5pm.

Stomper Nie alerted Stomp to the fire with a video that shows smoke coming out from a flat.

Another fire engine arrives at the scene, joining the first one, and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) firefighters proceed to deploy their equipment to fight the fire.

One firefighter can be seen running with a hose to join another firefighter at a nearby fire hydrant.

In response to Stomp queries, a SCDF spokesman said: "SCDF responded to a fire incident at Block 128 Bedok North Street 2 level 13 at about 5pm.

"The fire involved contents of a room in the unit and was extinguished by SCDF with one water jet.

"25 people were evacuated with the help of the Singapore Police Force during the incident from level 12 to level 14.

"The cause of the fire is still under investigation."

Stomp understands that no one was conveyed to hospital.
