Ten men and 14 women, aged between 19 and 85, were arrested in a two-day enforcement operation by the Central Police Division on June 26 and 27.
The operation was conducted along York Hill, Bendemeer Road, Sago Street, Queens Street, Beach Road, Kampong Glam, South Bridge Road, Trengganu Street, Eng Hoon Street, Whampoa West and Jalan Besar.
During the enforcement operations against illegal gambling activities, a 64-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman were arrested for their suspected involvement in managing a common gaming house.
Seven men and seven women, aged between 37 and 85, were arrested for their suspected involvement in gambling in the same unit.
Among the seven men, a 37-year-old man was also arrested under the Remote Gambling Act for his suspected involvement in illegal collection of 4D and horse racing bets.
During the enforcement operation against vice activities at a hotel along Queen Street, two men, aged 21 and 46, were arrested for offences under the Immigration Act.
During the enforcement checks on massage establishments and public entertainment outlets, seven licensed massage establishments were found to have contravened licensing conditions and three entertainment outlets were found to have contravened public entertainment licensing conditions.
Six women, aged between 19 and 41, were arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
Two out of the six women were also arrested for offences under the Immigration Act.
Investigations are ongoing.
