23-year-old man arrested for allegedly molesting 18-year-old guy in VivoCity cinema

A 23-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday (June 26) for allegedly molesting an 18-year-old man in a cinema at VivoCity.

The police said they received a report on June 14, at around 12.10am, about a case of outrage of modesty along 1 Harbourfront Walk.

The victim told that police that he had been molested by an unknown man in a cinema.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the suspect's identity of the man and arrested him.

Investigations are ongoing.

If convicted, the man faces a jail term of up to two years and/or a fine and/or caning.
