The police are investigating a 22-year-old man who is believed to have lodged a false report about how his motorcycle had been stolen.
The man had made the report on Feb 7 at around 9.40pm, alleging that the theft took place near a rubbish collection centre in front of Block 670 Choa Chu Kang Crescent, where his vehicle was parked.
After conducting follow-up investigations, the police detected several inconsistencies in the man’s account.
It was eventually established that he had given false information to the police by claiming that he had been a victim of motorcycle theft.
Investigations against the man are ongoing.
