A 21-year-old woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a car at the junction of Havelock Road and Saiboo Street on Friday night (Oct 5).

Stomper David was at the scene at around 9.45pm and contributed a video that showed the woman lying on the road.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a pedestrian at 9.48pm.

The pedestrian was conscious when taken to Singapore General Hospital.

Stomp understands that according to the driver, he had been travelling straight along Havelock Road with the traffic light in his favour.

He said that the pedestrian then dashed out from one side of the road towards the other end, but he was unable to brake in time, hence resulting in the collision.

Police investigations are ongoing.
