21-year-old man arrested for allegedly removing metal benches at bus stop along Braddell Road

A 21-year-old man was arrested on Jun 19 for his suspected involvement in a case of Vandalism at a bus stop along Braddell Road.

In a statement, the police said that they had received a report on June 15 at around 12am about a man removing metal benches at the bus stop.

Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him four days later.

The offence of Vandalism under Section 3 of the Vandalism Act, Chapter 341 carries a punishment of imprisonment of up to three years or fine not exceeding $2,000/-, and shall also be liable to caning of not less than three strokes and not more than eight strokes.

Police investigations are ongoing.
