20-year-old man grabbed woman from the back, covered her mouth with t-shirt at void deck

A 20-year-old man who allegedly grabbed a woman from the back and covered her mouth with a t-shirt in Bukit Batok has been arrested for attempted aggravated outrage of modesty.

The police received a report about the incident, which occurred at a void deck along Bukit Batok West Avenue 4, from the 21-year-old woman on Friday (Aug 14).

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTVs and police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the man's identity of the man and arrested him on Saturday.

The man will be charged in court on Monday with attempted aggravated outrage of modesty, which carries a jail term of up to 10 years, with caning.
