2 women who advertised sexual services online and man managing them arrested

An anti-vice operation conducted along Middle Road and Balestier Road by the police yesterday (Feb 26) led to the arrest of three suspects.

The trio, which consisted of a 45-year-old man and two women aged between 27 and 30, were arrested for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the women had advertised their sexual services on websites and were operating from hotels in Middle Road and Balestier Road.

The man is believed to be the one managing their vice activities.

Investigations are ongoing.

Under the Women’s Charter, any person who knowingly lives wholly or in part on the earnings of the prostitution of another person shall be guilty of an offence.

If convicted, they are liable to a jail term of up to five years and shall also be liable to a fine not exceeding $10,000.

The police said they "will continue to take tough enforcement action against those who are involved in such illegal activities" and added: "Anyone found assisting in vice activities in any way will be dealt with in accordance with the law."
