2 women arrested for suspected involvement in loansharking activities at Bedok

Two women, aged 25 and 42, were arrested for their suspected involvement in loansharking activities after the door of a HDB unit along Bedok North Street 2 was found to have been set on fire on Nov 16.

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras (POLCAMS), officers from Bedok Police Division managed to establish the identity of the suspects and arrested them along Stirling Road.

Both suspects were charged in court on Nov 18 under the Moneylenders Act.
