Two men were taken to hospital after an accident involving two cars along Yishun Avenue 2 at about 4.15am on Tuesday (May 1).

Stomper Zaq came across one of the vehicles involved, a BMW which had overturned while driving along the stretch of road.

A video of the scene was captured on Zag’s dashboard camera.

Zag told Stomp that the car looked like it had flipped over after crashing through barriers on a road divider.

However, he added that it seemed that the vehicle was empty as he drove past.

Three men stood beside the vehicle.

He also noted that some e-scooter riders had stopped to help divert the oncoming traffic.

Said Zag:

“I was shocked to see the car in that state.

“At first I thought what was in the middle of the road.

“I heard the ambulance arrived five minutes after I left.”

In response to a Stomp query, a police spokesman said:

"On May 1, at 4.15am, the police were alerted to an accident involving two cars along Yishun Avenue 2.

Two male car drivers, aged 25 and 30 were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for treatment.
