2 men arrested for allegedly stealing 22 cartons of shoes worth $10,800 from Jurong warehouse

Two men, aged 27 and 43, allegedly stole 22 cartons of shoes with an estimated value of around $10,800 from a warehouse along Jurong Port Road.

The police received a report at about 12.20pm on Oct 1 that the cartons of shoes were missing.

Through the aid of CCTV footage and ground enquiries, officers from Clementi Police Division subsequently established the identity of the men and arrested them along Jurong Port Road on Oct 2.

The shoes have been recovered.

The men will be charged in court on Oct 4 for theft with common intention.

Anyone convicted for theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or both.
