Two car passengers were taken to hospital after the car that they were in got into an accident along Sembawang Road in the early hours of Tuesday (July 23).

In response to Stomp queries, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car at 12.40am.

The two women, aged 18 and 20, were conscious when taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Stomper Kelvin was passing by at around 1am when he saw noticed the accident.

Photos that he contributed show a black car lying on its side and Singapore Civil Defence Force officers at the scene.

It is believed that the car driver had lost control of his vehicle.

Police investigations are ongoing.
