19 people arrested over vice-related and other offences in joint enforcement operation

Nineteen people were arrested during a joint enforcement operation led by the Ang Mo Kio Police Division, supported by the Centre Narcotics Bureau Enforcement (CNB) “F” Division between March 12 and 18.

Officers from the two divisions conducted checks at Yishun, Ang Mo Kio, Serangoon, Upper Serangoon, and Sengkang estates, said the police in an official statement. 

During the operation, 10 men and nine women were arrested. 

Seven of the women were arrested for offences under the Women’s Charter. 

Investigations reveal that the female suspects had advertised sexual services online, and operated from residential units. 

Eight men and one woman were arrested for drug-related offences, while another woman was arrested for illegal bookmarking. 

One man was also arrested for being in possession of contraband cigarettes. 

Seven mobile phones and cash amounting to $1,700 were seized for investigations. 

One massage establishment operator was found to have breached licensing conditions while another was found to be operating without a valid licence. 

Investigations against the suspects and operators of the establishments are ongoing.
