16-year-old girl in Indonesia allegedly raped by 9 men while held captive for 14 days

A 16-year-old girl in Enrekang, Indoensia's South Sulawesi province, was allegedly held captive in a shed for 14 days and raped by nine men.

According to The Jakarta Post, the minor was reported missing on Aug 22 after going out with her 27-year-old boyfriend, identified as RB, who has been named a suspect in the case.

Police found the girl following a search.

"The victim stated that she had gone out with RB, who had asked her to hang out, but she was taken to a forest and held captive for four days in a shed, where she said RB and three of his friends raped her," said Enrekang Police chief Ibrahim Aji.

The teen was then allegedly taken by another 22-year-old suspect, known as RR, to a pine forest about 2km away from the first location.

There, she was reportedly held captive for another two days and raped by two others, before being brought to a farm where she was again violated by multiple men.

Five suspects, including RB and RR, have been detained. Police are still looking for four other suspects as of Friday (Sep 14).
