11 sent to hospital after van and car crash into bus stop opposite Singapore Poly

Stomper Tina reported a car and van crash at the bus stop opposite Singapore Polytechnic today(Sep 27) at around 8am.

The Stomper saw the aftermath of the incident at around 9am. The car and the van, carrying around 10 passengers, had crashed into the railing.

Stomp understands that the van was ferrying passengers who were from Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS). 

Tina said that some of them were pointing at their leg, saying, "Pain, pain".

A police spokesperson said:

"On Sep 27, 2016 at about 8.25am, the police were alerted to an accident involving a car and a van along Commonwealth Avenue West."

"11 people aged 27 to 57 were conveyed conscious to NUH."

"Police investigations are ongoing."
