10,000 people cram on to Henan glass bridge -- thanks to free entry offer

Staff at a scenic spot in central Henan did not realise what they were in for when they offered tourists a free walk across their terrifying glass-bottomed bridge.

About 10,000 visitors flocked to the 216m bridge located in a mountainous area outside of Pingdingshan city, People's Daily reports.

These brave visitors were apparently extremely confident in the bridge's integrity, reports Shanghaiist.

They frantically tried to squeeze in for a view of the 96m drop to the ground below.
