10 PMDs impounded during LTA operation, including one weighing almost 50kg

Ten personal mobility devices (PMD) were impounded during an enforcement operation by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Saturday night (May 25).

"Our Active Mobility Enforcement Officers (AMEOs) were out in full force in various locations such as Woodlands to #CatchTheNaughtyOnes!" wrote LTA in a Facebook post.

A total of 16 offences were detected during Saturday's operation, including six involving riders who used their PMDs on the road.

One user was also caught riding a non-compliant PMD on a footpath.

His device weighed nearly 50kg, which is more than twice the stipulated weight limit of 20kg.

Members of the public may refer to LTA's website for more information on the Active Mobility Act.
