1 woman arrested for vice-related offences at massage parlour, 3 men nabbed for public gambling

Three men, aged between 54 and 71, were arrested along Banda Street for public gambling, in a series of enforcement operations against public gambling, massage establishments and public entertainment outlets on Aug 21 and 22.

Cash amounting to $156 was seized.

During the enforcement operations against massage establishments along Rochor Road, one licensed massage establishment was found to have contravened licensing conditions.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested under the Women’s Charter for vice-related offences.

During the enforcement operations against public entertainment outlets along Serangoon Road, Temasek Boulevard, Raffles Boulevard, and Upper Circular Road, one public entertainment outlet was found to have contravened licensing conditions.

Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act and Massage Establishment Act.

In a statement, the police said that they take a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take a tough enforcement stance against such activities.
