1 taken to hospital after car bursts into flames in Woodlands

One person was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital after a car caught fire along Woodlands Avenue 12 on Tuesday (July 21).

Stomper Anonymous alerted Stomp to the incident and shared an image of the car after the fire was extinguished.

Anonymous said: "National Servicemen were seen sitting outside the car."

A video showing the car engulfed in flames was also uploaded on Facebook.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they were alerted to the fire at about 12.55pm.

"SCDF extinguished the fire using two water jets," said a spokesman.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
