Jail for 3 construction workers who performed sexual acts on same 13-year-old girl

Three construction workers, aged between 25 and 33, were jailed on Feb 20 for performing consensual sexual acts on the same 13-year-old student on May 2, 2016.

Gill Gurjant Singh, 25, and Surjeet Singh, 29, who had sex with her hours apart of each other, were each sentenced to 15 months' jail for having sexual intercourse with the underage girl, reports The Straits Times.

Jugraj Singh, 33, will be jailed for eight months for committing an indecent act on the Singaporean minor.

All three men are Indian nationals.

Surjeet and Gurjant first met the girl on May 1 in Little India, where she was out with her friends.

Gurjant subsequently went to a nearby pub with her group at about 10pm that day, before leaving together with the girl eight hours later. 

He and the girl then had sexual intercourse after checking into a room at the Royal India Hotel in Syed Alwi Road.

The two checked out at around 9am on May 2, 2016, before they parted ways.

The girl later met Surjeet in Little India and the pair had unprotected sex after checking into a room at Taipei Hotel in Lorong 8 Geylang at around 7pm.

They checked out at about 8.40pm before taking a cab back to Little India, where they went their separate ways.

The girl met Gurjant again, as well as Jugraj who was with him, when she went back to Little India.

The three of them checked into a room at Taipei Hotel at about 11pm where Jugraj performed an indecent act with her.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Jesintha Veijayaratnam said: "Gill Gurjant Singh was lying on the same bed on the other side of the victim and witnessed the accused kissing and hugging the victim in the nude before he fell asleep."
