Three people sent to hospital after accident at Pasir Ris Drive 4, red patch on ground is transmission fluid

Stomp was alerted to an accident that occurred at the junction of Pasir Ris Drive 4 and Pasir Ris Street 41 this morning (Mar 7).

In the photo taken of the aftermath, a vehicle can be seen on the pavement, surrounded by what looks like blood. 

However, Stomp understands that the red patch is transmission fluid from the vehicle. 

A spokesperson from the police told Stomp:

"On 7 March 2017, at 10.05am, the police were alerted to an accident involving a car, a lorry and a taxi at the junction of Pasir Ris Drive 4 and Pasir Ris Street 41.

"The 49-year-old male car driver and the 61-year-old female taxi driver were conscious when they were conveyed to Changi General Hospital. A two-year-old boy was conscious when he was conveyed to KK Women's and Children's Hospital. Police investigations are ongoing."

A spokesperson from the SCDF said that they were alerted to the accident at about 10.10am this morning and two ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
