Stomper Patsy was driving along Chua Chu Kang Avenue 1 yesterday evening (Mar 20) when she encountered a group of cyclists hogging the road.

In the photo the Stomper contributed, three youth can be seen hogging both lanes of the road.

Said the Stomper:

“I sounded the horn at them but they ignored it and didn’t give way.

"I was forced to take a longer route home.”

Under the Road Traffic (Bicycles) Rules and other road-related rules by the Land Transport Authority,  if three or more cyclists are riding in a group, they must ride in pairs or a single file.

If two cyclists are riding side by side and travelling in the same direction on a public road, a third cyclist riding abreast is only allowed when overtaking.
