50-year-old S'porean man arrested for breaking windscreens and stealing cash cards at Yishun multistorey carpark

A 50-year-old man was arrested after breaking the windscreens of at least five cars and stealing cash cards within the vehicles in a multi-storey carpark at Block 430, Yishun Avenue 11 last Wednesday (Mar 1). 

The man has been arrested and charged in court on Friday (Mar 3), reports Lianhe Wanbao

Photos uploaded by Facebook user Ame Mas Blueyeagle on Wednesday (Mar 1) showed two cars which windscreens gave been cracked, one a black Honda and another black Subaru. 

He claimed that the photo was provided by his wife and according to his understanding, at least eight to 12 vehicles were targetted. 

In his caption, he also warned netizens to remain vigilant and be cautious of any suspicious activities around the carpark. 

The photo has since been shared over a hundred times and some netizens even commented that as a precaution, driver should never leave their cash cards in their vehicles. 

A spokesperson from the police revealed that a Chinese male suspect has been arrested for thieving from vehicles, and about five vehicles had their windscreens broken.
