A 56-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of Robbery with Hurt along Lorong 5 Toa Payoh.
On July 4 at about 8.00pm, an 82-year-old man told police that he had been assaulted by an unknown man and his money was robbed by the suspect.
Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of footages from Police cameras (POLCAMs), officers from Tanglin Police Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Lorong 7 Toa Payoh on July 10.
If convicted, he faces a jail term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and shall also be punished with caning of not less than 12 strokes.
