Motorists despise and fear them, thinking they are only capable of issuing warnings and summonses.

But we often forget that traffic enforcers are human beings too.

Stomper Les was reminded of this upon seeing a Land Transport Authority (LTA) officer helping an elderly woman across the street.

The Stomper was at Eng Hoon Street, near Tiong Bahru, early this morning (May 27) and spotted this heartwarming sight.

"This act of kindness really made my day," said Les.

"This officer went out of his way to stop traffic at a cross junction to make it safe for the old lady to cross the road.

"Well done," added the Stomper.
