Woman claims she was sacked after just 5 minutes into new job because she was too good looking

On a list of strangest reasons for someone to get sacked, this woman's story might rank somewhere on top.

According to The Daily Mail, 24-year-old Emma Hulse said that she was sacked just after five minutes into her new job.

She claimed she was fired for being too good looking.

Emma had just started her new job with London-based production company UNIT TV as a freelance runner.

During her shift, she was told by a manager to go home because ‘she should be on a catwalk'.

Then, barely five minutes into her new job, she received a message by her agent saying that she was 'no longer required'.

Said Emma:

"I was quite disappointed to be sent home. I didn’t really know what to do.

"Maybe that company employs plain looking people and maybe if you don’t look that way they don’t take you, maybe I was a distraction."

She said she was wearing a shirt and a pair of trousers and did not look inappropriate.

The owner of the company however has said that the employee allegedly involved in the incident was sacked after a three month probation period.

"We found there were a number of things we were not happy with," he said.
